Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes how information is handled when you use Professionalism.guide, including its tools and recordings (the "Site"). The Site is published by Rob Green (the "Author").

1. Summary

The Site does not require registration and does not request your name or email address. It does not use analytics or advertising, does not set cookies, and does not maintain a database of visitors. Your Check Habits and Compare Habits responses and results are not stored on the Site's server.

2. Information stored on your device

The Site uses your browser's local storage to retain the following preferences, which are not transmitted to the Site's server:

  • Your selected display appearance
  • For each language, your position in the recordings, playback speed and volume

You may delete this information at any time by clearing the Site's data in your browser settings.

3. Check Habits and Compare Habits

Your responses, codes, results and any names you enter are not sent to or stored on the Site's server. They are processed entirely in your browser, and neither the Author nor the Site's service providers receive them. The Site retains no copy and cannot recover a lost code or result, so you are responsible for saving your own code or link.

Your results are held only in the page address, in the portion following the # symbol, which browsers do not transmit to servers. If you open an older link that carries a code before that symbol, the code is transmitted with that request and may appear in service providers' technical logs, after which the page moves it behind the symbol.

If you share a link or image, its recipients may be able to view the code and any names it contains.

4. Technical information processed by service providers

When your device requests a page or recording, the following service providers process technical information that may include your IP address, the address requested, the date and time of the request, and your browser type:

  • Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the Site and stores its recordings
  • Heroku, which operates the Site's server and retains technical logs for a limited period

This processing is necessary to deliver the Site and maintain its security. The Author does not use this information to identify or profile visitors. Each provider handles this information in accordance with its own privacy terms, and it may be processed outside your country of residence.

5. Third-party services

If you contact the Author by email, your message, your email address and any information you include are received through Google Workspace, which handles them in accordance with its own privacy terms. If you contact the Author through LinkedIn, LinkedIn may collect information in accordance with its own privacy terms. The Author uses information you send only to respond to your message.

6. Your rights

Depending on your place of residence, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including rights to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because the Site maintains no visitor records, the Author may be unable to associate technical information with you.

7. Children

The Site is not directed to children, and the Author does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

8. Changes to this Notice

The Author may update this Notice at any time by publishing a revised version on this page. The date above indicates the most recent revision.
