Module 04

Visuals

People naturally process visual information much faster than written text. While words explain the details of a problem, a well-designed visual can reveal hidden patterns and make complex ideas easy to grasp at a glance. You don't need a background in graphic design to create helpful visuals; it is simply a matter of applying basic principles of layout, simplicity, and clean presentation:

  1. 4.1

    Beginner Visuals

All effective visual design rests on three core modules. You will learn to apply Minimalism to eliminate ornamental clutter and embrace whitespace, harness Color theory to establish intuitive meaning without sacrificing accessibility, and select clean Typography that enhances readability and contrast.

  2. 4.2

    Intermediate Visuals

When communicating quantitative information, structure dictates comprehension. You will master the invisible grids of page Layout, learn to strip distracting gridlines out of Tables to highlight critical data, and choose the correct Charts to visualize trends at a glance.

  3. 4.3

    Advanced Visuals

When numbers are not enough, qualitative visuals convey complex logic. You will learn how to build functional Diagrams using boxes and connectors to map complex systems, deploy tasteful Illustrations to lighten dense topics, and ethically source high-impact Photos to anchor emotional resonance.
